Webinar: CDC ESG Toolkit for Private Equity Fund Managers, overview and updates
A recording of the webinar is available here.
The PRI has invited CDC Group to present a double webinar on its ESG Toolkit for Private Equity Fund Managers, one year on from its launch at the PEI / PRI Responsible Investment Forum in 2015. Participants are invited to attend either or both halves, in whichever timezone is most convenient for them.
Over the past year, the Toolkit has been used by well over 5,000 individuals from the UK, the US and Europe as well as India, China, Japan, Russia, SE Asia, Latin America and a wide range of African countries. In short, all over the globe and well beyond the footprint of CDC’s own GPs. Fund managers and their advisors have typically said that they find it an extremely valuable resource and the PRI is pleased to have this opportunity to share the Toolkit with signatories.
The first half hour will consist of a brief overview of the key points from CDC’s popular ESG in the Investment Cycle training. For any fund managers that are not CDC GPs and have been unable to attend CDC’s one day workshop, this will be an opportunity to hear key practical tips and insights on how to integrate ESG into a PE investment cycle, including how to handle push back from promoters and how to structure an effective action plan. There will also be time for questions.
The second half hour will consist of an overview of the online CDC ESG Toolkit for Fund Managers with an update on newly added materials, which include Briefing Notes on Human Rights, Climate Change, Resource Efficiency, Supply Chains and Cumulative Impacts as well as new sector notes on the Pharma and Healthcare sectors.
|30 min||Practical advice on how to implement ESG in a private equity investment cycle|
|30 min||Introduction to CDC’s online ESG Toolkit, with a focus on the new reports that have been added since it was launched in June 2015, including on Human Rights and Climate Change|
Presented by Dr Sam Lacey, Manager Environmental and Social Responsibility, CDC Group with additional input from the authors of some of the new reports.
The same agenda will run at both timeslots – please pick the timing that suits you best.
